OK using that argument…
Your vehicle doesn’t need an engine that will drive it to a higher speed than 70MPH.
Like an ergonomic stock, your vehicle doesn’t need an adjustable seat or a tiltwheel. Nor does it need power steering, power brakes, power windows, ABS, a heater, A/C, a radio, GPS, etc, etc. After all, the automobile is meant to get you from point A to point B. You know, the way our forefathers’ cars did…
George Washington didn’t even have a car, so why should you need one. Get a horse. đ
I’ll take whatever I can get
Muskets were the “assault rifles” of their day. Everybody had one.
Fer fucks sake! We were talking about movable type printing presses, not 24 hour “news” t.v. or smarmy liberal blogs that spout lies all day!
Ferfucksake, the only reason we didn’t have 13.3 bullets per second is we hadn’t fucking invented it yet.
And yeah, they know it’s a bullshit argument before they even open their mouths.
“In 1943, US soldiers fighting in the Pacific Campaign came home on leave to San Francisco, took a train to places like New Orleans, and then returned the same way when leave was over.
Along with personal gear, soldiers were required to carry their M1 Garand Rifles, plus ammunition, with them during the entire period, particularly when using public transportation.
Officers were expected to carry 1911 pistols continuously.
No one was surprised, nor concerned!
During a security emergency, American soldiers and Marines, even when on leave, were expected to get together, immediately organize themselves into impromptu fighting units, and then report for duty to the nearest officer or NCO, already armed and prepared to fight!
Back then, everyone believed that such a universal and constant state of readiness represented a significant deterrent to invasion, even violent street crime.
Can you imagine anything like that with our woke-inspired, gun-phobic, âunarmed forcesâ of today?
Today, âwokeâ commanders openly discourage soldiers from even owning guns or displaying any interest in shooting, riflery, marksmanship, self-defense. Heaven forbid that any soldier, including officers, would actually bring a real gun onto a military base, or carry one off-base!
Today, even soldiers deployed to dangerous forward areas routinely carry empty guns, on those rare occasions when theyâre allowed to be âarmedâ at all!
Our grandfathers were trusted with guns. Clearly, the current generation is not!”
Troops are routinely OFFICIALLY deployed with empty weapons.
Anybody with an IQ above room temperature plays “You Bet Your Stripes”, but who has the common sense God gave any 4-legged jackass, and is carrying at least a full mag of happy pills somewhere on their person, even for routine CONUS field deployments, to preclude getting jacked on maneuvers for your M-16 Class II weapon, or an M-240, Ma Deuce, etc., by any ordinary gang banger with a pissant loaded .22.
That may be news to the Air Farce, but the Army and Marines are no such unarmed, and only a cherry butterbar suspects any differently.
I would far rather take my chances with a court martial for the initiative shown in plugging a would-be robber after my machineguns who suffered a failure in the victim selection process, than deal with explaining to one why and how all our unloaded rifles and MGs were taken away from us by some kid with a pot metal High Point, just because Captain Shitforbrains was too chickenshit career-conscious and commonsense-shortchanged to issue ammunition.
The brighter NCOs all figured this out without being told. I doubt that’s changed, whatever official policy is.
They didn’t have any rules about masking on airplanes , either. Nobody was demanding a license to drive. Guns were ubiquitous and unregulated because nobody thought it necessary except king george. So why were we fighting?
Taxes and guns is why we were fighting.
Washington didnât write any of the Constitution anyway.
Would have been a little better if it had been a pic of Jefferson. Still BS but more accurate
Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Madison wrote the Constitution and George Mason helped add the Bill of Rights which the anti federalists wanted.
