Yesterday I spoke to a former coworker. He told a story of disrespect for company history. Told him not to worry, I know the history just bide your time till you can get out.(couple years)
Third generation now working there, company will be sold or go under in ten or less years. Wish I had time to build competition but I don’t. Did the next best thing. Bwahahaha
The past is what the victors SAY IT IS. Do we REALLY understand the past? Do we really appreciate just how bad a decision it was for a limited number of the colonists to NOT pick their own cotton? Do we really appreciate just how horrible a system of government was adopted by the Continental Congress when they originally just supposedly met to tweak the Articles of Confederation to fix some minor issues? Understanding history requires context, HONEST appraisals of the facts, and a serious personal reality check on one’s own biases.
Madison knew history well. That’s how we got the constitution instead of articles which had failed, ergo revolution.
Not taking away from what Bear Claw and MrLiberty said, we are living this right now. We are watching several decades of societal manipulation play out in real time. There are a lot of circles within circles, and all of them are ready to break from spinning, as fragile as a rubber band stretched beyond molecular cohesion. What and when is the end point? I don’t know, and I think the manipulators don’t know any more.
Grab your ankles Grog, it’s gonna be a good time!
It’s called the fourth turning. Simple phrase is history repeats when forgotten
