I’m pretty fond of molybdenum disulfide, my self. It’s called Dri-Slide, been using it since Vietnam. There are also some pretty good Teflon-based lubricants that I used. I won’t use WD40 on electronics gear nor anything that can’t tolerate an acid-based dust-collecting lubricant.
Good for locks and keys, though.
I avoid Water Displacement-40.
The carrier evaporates, leaving a gummy residue.

In locks, it tends to bind the pins.
