My first car was a 69 LTD, unlike the one above was a 4-door w/ 390ci. I really miss that car.
My second car was a ’63 Ford Galaxie with the 390. That engine rans so smooth that at idle I had to look at the gauges to make sure it was still running! ‘Had A/C and power windows; both SUPER RARE for that time in anything but Caddies and Connies. ‘Paid $150.00 for it in 1979, and it was in MUCH better shape than the one in the photo. ‘Drove it seven years. It went to Alaska and crossed the country. ‘Sold it for $1100.00 when I was done with it. ‘Still one of my favorites!
The 390 in my 68 250 is like that. You can set your beer on it when it’s running.
I am claiming the COE, Phil, and you have no foundation to argue.
chuckling, you would win anyway, it’s your blog.
I already called dibs on the COE Grog…
Beep, wrong answer, C, you didn’t mark the picture as you did for SG, snooz ya looz
chuckling
I think that is a Fairlane wagon with the red interior, not a Galaxie.
No, it is the interior of the Galaxie Station Wagon above Kang.
Hey… the Pinto with Supercharger and stack for me? Says, For Sig… Thanks! Love it.
Not sure, but I think the last time I posted about having a ’72 Pinto was in 2011. I’m amazed and impressed that anybody would know that.
I have been reading you a long time Sig! I remember. I have another picture of a Pinto you might enjoy and it will be in the next Ford installment.
First Ford I ever had was a Taurus Station Wagon – great car.
However, I’m more’n happy with my ’89 Taurus SHO!
I knew a man who drag taced a Pinto. He turned in faster speeds by turning the body backwards.
I like that
That ’63 tbird is about to make me have that funny feeling like looking at a nekid lady magazine.
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I always found that generation of TBirds(63) one of the ugliest cars ever built.
They really look nice if they’re shaved!
Growing up many Galaxies sat in the driveway that Mom drove.
